Marc Newson Bucky II lounge chair in canary yellow. The 'Bucky' chair was first designed in 1995, as a module for the 'Bucky' dome, commissioned as an installation for the Fondation Cartier, Paris in 1995. 'Bucky II' was developed two years later in a harder, more commercially viable plastic. Each triangular-shaped chair module can be joined to form a hemispherical dome named after Buckminster Fuller. The chair sits low to the ground and rocks side to side and backwards and forwards. Manufacturer Artifical produces the lounge chair which is made from weatherproofed polyethylene material making it suitable for in- and outdoor use.
