Circa – 1970 and 1980

British bespoke made luxury cushion created using superb contrasting and complimentary vintage silks. The rare front side features the work of the celebrated Ethiopian artist Afewerk Tekle. The 1958 stained glass triptych was commissioned for Africa Hall in the United Nations' Economic Commission for Africa. Complimented on the reverse in silk designed by the sixties designer Richard Allen

Silk with complete interfacing including a double layer of full cotton and linen lining

All seams are bound with cotton bias binding

Velvet insertion edge trimming with two vintage buttons on the zip pull

Beautiful bespoke hand crafted pillow/cushion cover with a gorgeous vintage button on the zip pull. The quality of workmanship and finishing is superb both inside and outside of the cover. A cushion/pillow for both comfort as well as a piece of art on the couch

A hand written luggage is attached to note the provenance of the fabric and care instructions

Includes a sumptuous duck feather pad

Plump cushion up regularly to maintain it fullness
