Pair of 1970s Ingmar Relling 'Siesta' Lounge Chairs

An original pair of 1970s 'Siesta' lounge chairs designed by Ingmar Relling for Westnofa.  The chairs are beautifully constructed from a bentwood beech ply frame with brown rope threaded through holding the brown canvas in place at either side of the frame.  The tanned, buttoned, loose, leather cushion, sits on the top of the canvas making the chairs incredibly comfortable.  The cushions are held in place with a single piece of rope on the back of the cushion which hooks over the frame.  The original cushions are in very good condition with some fading and bagginess due to their age and use.  There are 4 buttons on the back of the cushion and 2 on the seat.  The canvas is slightly sun-faded at the front of the seat and top of the back and there is some wear but no tears or rips.

The chairs would make a stunning addition to any living room whatever your style.

Ingmar Relling, (1920-2002), was an excellent designer and was born in Norway.  He is heralded as one of the best Scandinavian designers.
