An Industrial, vintage, Smiths Sectric Bakelite wall clock which was "Made in Great Britain" during the 1930s. In good condition with a molded bakelite casement and plastic front to protect the clock's face and hands. The clock retains its original electric movement which has been restored and is in full working order. The clock can either be plugged into a socket or hard wired into a wall. The face and glass are unmarked and in very good condition. There is a small hole in the bakelite about 1cm across at the top (shown in the images) but no crack which keeps me guessing as to what caused it. A wonderful clock perfect for most rooms in the home but originally it may have been hanging in a school, factory, railway or in a commercial space. Rare to find with its original working mechanism and the face in pristine condition with no watermarks or fading.
