1956 Floris Meydam Triangular Glass Vase

A stunning mid century art glass triangular vase designed by Floris Meydam. Manufactured by the Royal Leerdam Glass Company in the Netherlands.  Circa 1956.

The vase which is designed for a single flower (solifleur) is hand blown with a spiral of small floating 3 dimensional bubbles which circulate around the hollow centre creating an optical illusion as they reflect through the glass in the rest of the vase.  It's amazing and also mesmerising.  In very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks but has been used as a vase in the past.  Some small scratches on the base around the outside edges commensurate with its age and use.
