1970s Richard Essig Floor Lamp

A striking mid century chromed metal and structured glass floor lamp designed by Richard Essig, in Germany, during the 1970s. The lamp stand illuminates in three separate sections which are separated by a chrome ring and tube.  The base is also chrome and a foot operated on/off switch is situated on the flex.

The light illuminates in three different ways - 1. Shade & Stem 2. Shade only 3. Stem only.

The original lampshade has been replaced. It maybe easier and more cost effective (for shipping purposes) to buy your own shade especially if you live overseas rather than ship this specific one.

A single E27 screw in bulb sits at the top which is hidden by the shade and in the glass sections a single E14 screw in bulb, is required, which are accessed by unscrewing the top and lifting the sections upwards.  I would recommend LED bulbs which lasts longer, produce less heat and are better for the environment.

In good vintage condition with some wear to the chrome base including some small dents.

Dimensions: Diameter: 26cm; Height to the top of the bulb socket: 130cm Height to the top of the shade: 162cm
