1950s Space Age Hillebrand Pendant Light by Ernest Igl

An elegant, space-age and a timeless design which is reminiscent of a UFO. Designed by Ernest Igl for Hillebrand Leuchten in Germany during the 1950s. The light is made with a circular light reflecting canopy which is a brown rust colour on the top and white underneath which the light beautifully reflects from.  A perforated enameled metal frame surrounds the single bulb allowing the light to shine through the holes and beneath.  Four brass angled rods hold it in place which also appear through the canopy.

A single E27 screw in bulb is required.  In full working order.  The wiring has been checked by an electrician. I would recommend a LED bulb as shown in the images.

Dimensions: Diameter: 44 cm Height to the top of the rods on the shade only: 20 cm.  The overall height is adjustable depending on your requirements.  A new polished antique brass circular ceiling cup connects the light to the ceiling.

In very good condition with some very very small chips to the outer edge of the canoby and some discolouration to the brass rods and bulb holder.
