1960s Rosewood Johannes Andersen Extendable Dining Table



A stunning 1960s extendable Rosewood dining table designed by Johannes Andersen for Uldum Møbelfabrik.  The table features a veneered Rosewood top with solid tapered legs which slot into the underside of the table into the apron which seamlessly also runs along the two leaves.  The table is solid, very well-made and in very good condition.  The table when round is 120cm in diameter and oval when either of the two leaves are added.  Each leaf is 60cm wide.  

On full display at Alfie's Antique Market on Church Street, London.

Johannes Andersen worked steadily for his own firm—as well as Swedish, Danish, and Norwegian companies such as Trensum, CFC Silkeborg, Bramin, and Uldum Møbelfabrik—until he closed his shop in his eighties. He passed away in 1991
