An unusual and playful pair of intertwining 1950s German silver-plate candleholders in the style of designer Wilhelm Wagenfeld. A wonderfully simple modernist and minimalist design with each corresponding side interlocking to form a 4 stem holder or they could be used separately at either end of a dining table as opposed to one formed in the centre. Each candle holder is identical to the other. The candle holders are set at two different heights each corresponding with the other with a circular curved disc designed to catch the excess wax.
Rare to get a pair together. I have only seen a single in the past and during my research.
Some small areas of tarnishing commensurate with their age and use. Some wax remnants in the bottom of the small circular candle holder.
