Circa 1900s oak balloon back side or dining chair which is characterised by its distinctive balloon-shaped back and simply carved around its border. The chair has turned legs and a newly reupholstered seat, making it both stylish and comfortable.

Typically made from oak or walnut, and they were often decorated with carvings and other embellishments. The chair is in very good antique condition having been fully restored and reupholstered. It has been very well cared for by its previous owner. The oak is rich and warm, and the simple carvings are sharp and defined. The chair has been reupholstered in a light fabric with pipe detail. The underside is covered in brown hessian.
