A bold and sculptural flush mount ceiling light from 1970s Germany, by Peill & Putzler. This impressive piece features a large, domed glass shade with a striking geometric pattern made up of sandblasted oval lozenges arranged concentrically, forming a floral-like motif that draws the eye toward the chrome central disc.

The textured glass shade is attached to an aluminum fitting via a central bolt, cleverly concealed beneath a polished chrome knob and disc. Inside, three E27 screw-in bulbs are positioned evenly to project light uniformly through the frosted and clear glass surface—enhancing the dimensional pattern and producing a soft, diffused glow.

This design is occasionally attributed to Kalmar Lighting or Glashütte Limburg, but the detailing and construction strongly suggest Peill & Putzler. Still, I'm open to insights from fellow collectors or design historians.

The fixture is in very good vintage condition, showing only minor surface wear to the central chrome element and two small chips to the perimeter. Unusually the light has been fitted with an additional smaller section to it which is removable if you prefer the fitting to be closer to the ceiling. It has been professionally rewired and is in full working order—ready for installation.
