Pair of 1970s German Peill and Putzler clear glass circular table lamps with six feature concave indentations which magnify and reflect the light beautifully.
The lamps have been rewired with a transparent flex with a matching on/off switch fitted along it. The original manufacturer's transparent adhesive round label is present on both lamps.
A single Edison E14 screw in lightbulb is required in each one. I've used a silver-capped version which is now available in a LED format which helps to reflect the light outward through the body of the glass.
Perfect lamps to illuminate a dark corner perhaps on a shelf or on a sideboard.
In good vintage condition. The lightbulb holders were a little loose due to their age and have been secured in place with some clear glue.

Many of their designs, especially from the 1960s and 1970s, are recognized for their sculptural, globular forms and use of materials like frosted and clear glass, chrome, and silver foil. The company's production moved to other countries in 1995, and it filed for bankruptcy in 2004. Today, original Peill & Putzler pieces are considered vintage and are displayed in museums like the Museum of Modern Art in New York
