This striking, two-tiered "Soria" chandelier features 18 Murano iced block glass manufactured by Kalmar Franken KG of Austria. Designed by J.T. Kalmar and produced during the 1960s/1970s, this piece embodies Mid-Century Modern elegance. Each removable piece of frosted ice glass beautifully reflects the light and is secured onto a brushed nickel metal frame with a small screw, allowing for easy positioning, cleaning, and transportation. Each glass block has three vertical triangular sections fused together at different heights and angles..
The lighting system includes six small Edison E14 screw-in lightbulbs fitted horizontally at the top of the glass to ensure even illumination, along with one bulb in the center at the bottom. The ceiling rod is adjustable to meet specific height requirements, and an original maker's label is visible on one of the supporting arms. The chandelier remains in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks to the glass blocks, having been rewired and remaining in full working order.
