1970s space-age, atomic, ceiling pendant hanging light designed by Guzzini Studio for Meblo. Made in Yugoslavia. The large umbrella flower-shaped shade is very well-made constructed with a polished chrome top (where the lightbulb is fitted inside) and lower brushed chrome frame which the white perspex individual leaves are attached to with each one alternating on top and underneath the other.
A milky white glass globe shade is missing and is designed to fit underneath hiding the lightbulb but this is missing and was probably broken sometime in the past. This issue is reflected in the price. A large milky lightbulb or perhaps a chrome capped bulb as shown in the images works well as an alternative option.
Rewired with a silk flex with the metal supporting wire which runs from the chrome ceiling cup to the shade has also been replaced. A single Edison E27 screw-in lightbulb is required. One of the leaves is slightly cracked at the bottom where it attaches to the metal ring which is barely noticeable.
Perfect for above a dining table or a kitchen island.
