1960s Staples Ladderax Teak Double Shelving System

1960s Teak veneer Ladderax double modular shelving system designed by Robert Heal in 1964 and manufactured by Staples of Cricklewood. I would play around with the configuration. I had a double plug socket to contend with which is why the pull down unit on the right is in an odd place.

The system is designed to lean against a wall for support. There are two moveable shelves. Two sets of 3-drawers, a sliding door unit and a pull down desk unit which are all supported by three gold powder-coated ladders on each side and one in the middle.

Ladderax units have remained popular to this day due to their long-lasting quality and clever design. They are very simple to put together, move around and store.

In very good vintage condition with some small surface scratches commensurate with its age and use.

Dimensions: Depth: 430mm; Width: 1240mm; Height: 1710mm
