A small version of this beautiful hanging pendant light from the 'Futura' range which is also more commonly called 'Wave' which was manufactured in Germany by Peill & Putzler during the 1970s. The three wave clear ribbed glass is suspended from a chrome bulb-holder fitting and black flex with a matching black plastic ceiling cup.
A very unusual design with three 'waves' of ribbed glass on the inside contrasting against clear smooth glass on the outside. This space age futuristic light is a design classic having won a number of awards including the IF design award in 1975.
The light is in very good condition with some small barely noticeable scratches to the exterior clear glass in places. The light requires a single E27 Edison screw in lightbulb. I would recommend a chrome capped lightbulb (as shown in the images) which will reflect the light through the shade and off the reflective chrome build-holder above. Chrome capped lightbulbs in LED format are now available which are energy saving and have a longer life. Rewired and in full working order. The maker's label is still present on the inside of the chrome plate.
