1970s Italian White Arc Floor Lamp

1970s space-age, height-adjustable, arc floor lamp in the style of the renowned lighting designer Harvey Guzzini. The metal frame and base is lacquered white with clear perspex joints.  The sliding rod is secured in place by a large feature chrome screw which allows the section with the shade to slide up and down on the lower metal supporting pole. The supporting pole sits on a heavy white metal base which holds it in place and stops it from toppling over due to its weight.

The original white acrylic shade sheds a wonderful diffused directional light which makes it perfect for over a chair or sofa.  A single E27 screw in bulb sits in the centre of the shade.  A black sliding foot operated switch is fitted along the white flex which turns the light on and off but also controls how much light you require.  The wiring haage related scratches but this is usually hidden underneath a sofa or in a corner behind a chair.  The white poles have quite a few chips along them which I have illustrated in the images which is to be expected with a white lacquered vintage piece.  There is also a 4cm crack in the shade illustrated in the images which is barely noticeable.
