Designed and manufactured by Race Furniture Ltd in London, England and originally designed as auditorium chairs but nowadays they're perfect as dining, office or occasional armchairs perhaps in an industrial type loft space. Each chair seat tilts up to allow them to be stacked one on top of the other. The thin metal frame is made from black stove enamelled steel rods. The armrests are wooden and painted black with the seats and back rests upholstered in the original Royal Blue leatherette. The armchairs are solid and structurally sound and in very good condition with only very minor wear and tear to the black paint on the armrests commensurate with their age and use. The foam on the seat and back rest is firm and the leatherette is in an excellent condition with no splits or tears.
