A beautiful crystal and brass bejewelled antique Venetian ceiling light which I am selling on behalf of a friend who bought it at the Porte de Clignancourt market in Paris in the 1990s. A very ornate, well-made and striking piece which would look perfect in a large hallway or perhaps a dining room which which is where my friend had it in her Spanish/Deco style house in Los Angeles. There are 20 inlaid crystals in the bronze frame on each of the four sides with 8 feature crystals hanging from below. The lantern hangs from a matching chain which can be attached to a hook in the ceiling and is adjustable according to your requirements.
At the time of purchase she was told it was Venetian, late 1800s, brass and crystal. She saw the same one in Victor Hugo's house on Place des Vosges!
