The Leda desk lamp combines hand-blown glass with LED lights. Even though the whole lamp is made from transparent glass it is hard to make out what is actually glowing within the lamp.
A high-quality LED module is hidden under the lamp's base and the light is directed fibre-optically through the lamp's swanlike neck (hence the name Leda) straight onto the book being read or the computer keyboard. An advantage of this solution is that the light of the Leda lamp does not dazzle your eyes, which is the case with most lamps using the LED technique.
