A pair of French 1930s Art Deco Walnut bedside tables or nightstands. The tops of each table have recently been refinished with a black lacquer paint. A space sits beneath each top where magazines can be stored. A single door opens on each cabinet to expose a small storage cupboard inside. Feature matching black knobs with a metal base plate to protect the wood allows the doors to be opened easily. The walnut veneer has a wonderful heart shape to the grain which makes them particularly striking and rather dramatic. Each bedside table has been restored and wax polished.
