An absolutely beautiful 1970s 'Wave' clear ribbed glass wall or flush mount ceiling light with a polished chrome reflective base plate manufactured by Peill & Putzler in Germany. A very unusual design with 'waves' of ribbed glass on the inside contrasting against clear smooth glass on the outside. This space age futuristic light is a design classic having won a number of awards.
The light is in excellent condition and looks almost new considering its age. A circular sprayed black plate screws into the ceiling/wall which the chrome reflective plate and shade then screws onto. The light requires a single E27 Edison screw in lightbulb. I would recommend a chrome capped lightbulb (as shown in the images) which will reflect the light through the shade and off the reflective chrome back plate. Chrome capped LED bulbs are now available which are energy saving and last longer. Rewired and in full working order. The marker's label is still present on the black ceiling plate.
