Pair of vintage 1970s American clear acrylic and polished chrome twisted column table lamps including oval silk black shades. The lamps are very well made with the base and column formed from one piece of molded acrylic. A polished chrome column which conceals the wiring runs through the centre and supports the bulb holder and shade on top.
Rewired with an interesting gold plastic flex. An on/off switch is fitted within the polished chrome lightbulb holder which can be accessed underneath the lampshade. A single Bayonet B22 is required in each table lamp.
The black oval shaped silk lampshades are included. There is some damage to the plastic interior of the lamps which isn't noticeable from the exterior. It looks as though they've been bashed slightly in the past.
I have extensively researched the manufacturer's name and have only come across one other comparison but that dealer was also unable to identify them as well.
I bought them as a pair from a high-end London Interior Designer around three years ago and have had them in my own home as bedside lamps since then. Time for a change.
In very good vintage condition with some scratches to the bases and columns but nothing very noticeable.
