1970s German Peill & Putzler solid glass "ice-cube" table lamp. The outside of the cube has a smooth clear finish and in contrast the interior is frosted and textured which sheds a diffused glowing light when illuminated. The original plastic bulb holder has been replaced because it was damaged with a polished brass bayonet bulb holder with transparent thin flex and matching on/off switch which is situated along it.  The cube is very well designed with an indentation on one side of the base where the flex leaves the bulb holder therefore allowing it to sit flush on whatever surface it's placed on.

The lamp is perfect to illuminate a dark shelf, corner or perhaps as a night light.  I have even had interior designers convert a number of them to ceiling lights to illuminate a long narrow hallway and small bathroom.  An interesting idea.

The light is in very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks or scratches.

A single small bayonet pygmy lightbulb is required.
