Pair of 1970s German Peill & Putzler opaque grey with swirled wisps of white glass mushroom shaped table lamps. The lamps are constructed from one piece of formed glass which is smooth, silky and extremely tactile. The lamps still retain their clear adhesive original Peill & Putzler manufacturer's labels attached to the shade.
The lamps are often referred to as "mushroom lamps" due to their shape, characterised by their rounded base and wider, dome-shaped shade, both made from one piece of glass overlayed with a white swirled cloud like pattern which becomes more distinct when the lamp is lit. Perfect for ambient lighting perhaps in a bedroom as bedside lamps.
The lights are in full working order. An on/off switch is fitted along each of their white wire flexes. Felt pads are attached to their glass bases in order to prevent any scratches. The wiring has been checked by an electrician and they're in perfect working order. A single Edison E14 screw in lightbulb is required in each one.
Perfect as bedside table lamps or perhaps together on a sideboard or shelving unit to light up a dark corner or shelving unit.
In very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks or damage.
