This exquisite vintage circular mirror is a stunning example of Mid Century Modern design. Designed and handcrafted in Vienna by Austrian manufacturer Bakalowits & Söhne during the 1960s. This highly sought-after piece seamlessly blends functionality with opulent design, offering a striking focal point for any interior.
The circular mirror is encircled by faceted clear rectangular crystal prisms. These crystals catch and refract light, creating a dazzling, shimmering effect reminiscent of Hollywood Regency glamour.
The mirror features integrated backlighting, to cast a warm, ambient glow that enhances the crystals' sparkle and creates a captivating aura around the perimeter. The crystals are set within a polished chrome-plated metal frame, which provides a sleek, reflective contrast to the warm light and glass elements. The small frame around the mirror is brushed chrome to contrast against the polished chrome it's set into.
As a vintage item, this mirror is in good vintage condition but not perfect. There are some dents on the polished chrome frame which aren't noticeable when the mirror is hung in place. Some of the crystals have been rewired onto the frame having come loose in the past but with a brass wire rather than chrome for some odd reason but I didn't notice this until I'd taken it apart to clean it. The crystals in places are a little uneven. Over time and due to its age some of the crystals are loose on the frame. Please refer to the images for more detail of these issues. The issues are reflected in the price but it's still a wonderful mirror over sixty years old.

The mirror requires 3 Edison E14 screw in lightbulbs which are interspersed to shed the light evenly throughout the mirror. The wiring has been checked by a professional electrician.
