This exquisite vintage mirror is a stunning example of Mid-Century Modern design. Designed and handcrafted in Vienna by Austrian manufacturer Bakalowits & Söhne during the 1960s. This highly sought-after piece seamlessly blends functionality with opulent glamour, offering a striking focal point for any luxury interior.
The circular mirror is encircled by hand-cut, diamond-shaped, or faceted clear rectangular crystal prisms. These crystals catch and refract light, creating a dazzling, shimmering effect reminiscent of Hollywood Regency glamour.
The mirror features integrated backlighting, to cast a warm, ambient glow that enhances the crystals' sparkle and creates a captivating aura around the perimeter. The crystals are set within a polished chrome-plated metal frame, which provides a sleek, reflective contrast to the warm light and glass elements.
As a vintage item, this mirror is in good vintage condition. There are some very small dents on the frame which aren't noticeable when the mirror is hung in place.
This Bakalowits & Söhne mirror is more than just a reflective surface; it is a substantial work of art that promises to elevate a living room, hallway, or luxurious bathroom with its unique light play and timeless elegance.
The mirror requires 3 Edison E14 screw in lightbulbs which are interspersed to shed the light evenly throughout the mirror. The wiring has been checked by a professional electrician.
