1970s German Egon Hillebrand illuminated backlit wall mirror framed in a thick, softly rounded Lucite opalescent rectangular frame. When lit the mirror glows from behind, casting a warm halo of light around the mirror that gently diffuses into the surrounding frame and space. The translucent frame captures and softly disperses the light.
The glass mirror hooks onto the vertical frame leaving a gap around it for the light to shine through. The back of the frame is laminated white which allows the light to reflect off it and through the lucite ribbed frame. The frame holds 6 interspersed small screw in Edison E14 lightbulbs preferably LED candle lightbulbs.
In good vintage condition with some small surface blemishes to the original mirror which can be replaced if you wish but I personally don't think it's necessary. The wiring has been checked by an electrician and is in full working order. PAT Tested.
A beautiful mirror which is perfect for above a mantlepiece, hallway or powder room. It can be hardwired into a wall or plugged into a socket. Please ask about the wiring to plug it into the wall because I don't usually supply it because almost all of my customers hard wire these mirrors into the wall.
