An absolutely stunning outdoor (fine for indoor too) wall light manufactured by the Danish lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen. This is the largest "maxi" version in the Model Saturn range. Designed by Joachim Lepper. The outer white lacquered metal frame is held onto the metal wall fitting with four screws which require an Allen key to release them.
The two glass lamp shades on the top and the bottom are located behind a glare ring. The opaque glass shades screw onto the metal frame to keep the wall light water tight. The ring around the glass shades not only protects them but also deflects any direct glare. The large horizontal reflector which reflects the light upwards and downwards resembles the ring around the planet Saturn which is where the wall light's name derives.
The wall light is in a used vintage condition with some bubbling to the metal in places where the water has encroached into the metal (see images). The two shades have some dark grey discolouration from being exposed to the elements. I've done my best to remove this issue.
You will see others for sale for less money but the majority do not have the screw on glass shades which make the wall lights water tight and suitable for outdoor use. Large globe lightbulbs have been utilised instead. This is quite often not stated either in the condition description. Something to be aware of but take a close look at the images.
Rewired and in full working order. I have four others which I am in the process of listing separately which are all in varying condition. One does only have one glass shade which will be reflected in the price.
Two Edison E27 screw in lightbulbs are required. One in the top and one for the bottom.
