A striking 1960s freestanding display cabinet and bar designed by František Jirák and manufactured by Tatra nábytok, one of the leading furniture makers in former Czechoslovakia. This beautifully proportioned piece embodies the clean architectural lines and functional elegance associated with mid-century Central European design.

Crafted in warm-toned oak and ash wood veneer, the cabinet features a glazed upper display section with sliding glass doors and adjustable glass shelving, ideal for showcasing glassware or decorative objects. The central open shelf provides additional display space perhaps for books or barware, while the lower section incorporates a practical lockable, with original key, double-sided cupboard for concealed storage on one side. On the other side, a cleverly integrated fold out and drop-down drinks compartment revealing a vibrant green interior, adding a subtle pop of colour and reinforcing its dual function as both display unit and bar.

The top cupboard is held in place by four screws on each side which screw into the legs.  The legs split in two for transportation or storage purposes and are held in place by circular metal rods in the bottom section which are permanently attached to the cupboard and bar section.  Very simple and straight-forward but you will require two people to assemble it.
