Bring iconic Space Age glamour into your home or project with this pair of minimalist wall sconces designed by Gaetano Sciolari for Boulanger during the 1970s. Each fixture features two highly polished chrome vertical tubes of alternating heights, balanced perfectly across a central horizontal axis. Lightbulbs feature at both ends of the tubes.
Known for combining structural geometric forms with high-end European elegance, Sciolari’s mid-century designs act as functional wall art. These highly versatile fixtures blend effortlessly into a residential mid-century environment, bringing authentic vintage texture to hallways, dining rooms, or living spaces. Simultaneously, their grand architectural scale, striking sculptural lines, and brilliant reflective surfaces make them an ideal statement installation for commercial spaces like upscale boutique hotel lobbies, design-forward restaurants, executive office lounges, or retail showrooms looking to project a sophisticated, retro-modern aesthetic.
4 x E14 LED lightbulbs are required. Dimmable if required. Golfball silver capped suit the fixtures perfectly which are now available in LED and dimmable formats. Lightbulbs not provided.
Professionally rewired by an electrician and in working order.
Please note that one wall bracket was missing and has been custom-made by a metalworker (see images). The wall lights show minor cosmetic wear, including small scratches to the tubes and some age-related pitting, bubbling underneath the chrome on one light specifically the section which attaches to the bracket on the wall. Please refer to the photos for a detailed view of its condition. This effect occurs because chrome plating is actually microporous. Over time, moisture and oxygen penetrate the microscopic pores in the chrome layer and reach the underlying base metal. Priced accordingly.
