Val Saint Lambert, opalescent turquoise and clear crystal glass, lamp base. The lamp was made in the 1950s in Belgium. I have never come across this design before which is beautifully made with heavy crystal glass in a very elegant twsited, swirled form. The turquoise is encased within the clear glass and beautifully hand blown.
The lamp is fitted with a brass mounted bulb socket with the on/off switch fitted into its base which can be accessed from underneath the lampshade. Perfect for a bedside table or feature light in a living/dining room. Rewired and in full working order. In very good vintage condition with some fine scratches on the base. The black silk twisted flex runs through the centre of the lamp and along through a groove in the base as illustrated in the images.
Dimensions: Depth: 9cm Width: 12cm Height to the top of the light fitting: 44cm
The shade is not included. I recommend shipping the item without one and purchasing one locally in order to make the packing and postage costs cheaper. You then have the choice of purchasing one to your exact specifications to match your present or future decor.
