1960's Belgian Triangular Chrome Coat Stand by Tubax

A beautifully designed, functional, free-standing coat stand. Manufactured in the 1960's by Tubax of Belgium for the Zaventem Airport. The rack is formed from three tubular vertical chrome tubes which flare at the bottom to create the legs and at the top to form the hooks. Both ends have black feature rubber stoppers. A triangular tube connects the three hooks at the top which have two chrome smaller hooks threaded through. At the bottom where the tubes narrow to form the base there is a solid piece of sprayed black cast-iron connecting them which is also very heavy to help balance the rack when it's fully loaded with coats which it can hold a lot of. A wonderful design and in very good condition only showing some signs of age related wear and tear,
