A “Sirocco” safari chair designed by Arne Norell and manufactured for Scanform in Columbia who produced the chair for the U.S market. Circa 1960s.
The condition of the chair is outstanding and has hardly been used over the last 50 years. There is a "Made in Columbia" sticker on one of the legs and even comes with the original box that it was shipped in and the original instructions for assembly.
The seat and arms are dark brown leather and the stitching is all in mint condition. The adjustable brass anchor points for the arms and backrest operate perfectly.
The Rosewood frame is also in perfect condition.
This really is one of the finest examples of this design classic.
