This vintage wall light, or sconce, is a 1960s piece from the German manufacturer Kaiser Leuchten featuring a hand-blown, semi-circular frosted Murano glass shade. The sculptural shade is mounted to a slim, rectangular brass wall plate. It is held in place at the top and bottom by large, decorative brass knobs. The light requires a single E14 screw-in candle bulb, which illuminates the textured glass.
Kaiser Leuchten (Gebrüder Kaiser & Co.) was founded in Germany in 1895 and became known for producing high-quality and innovative lighting solutions. During the mid-20th century, the company produced a wide range of lighting fixtures, including many pieces with Murano and textured glass, before being acquired by the Thorn Lighting Group in the late 1970s.
