Large vintage pottery ceramic floor vase designed by Franz Schwaderlapp and produced by Sawa Ceramic in Germany during the 1960s. The vase is inscribed on the clay base "Handarbeit" meaning Handmade. The vase is decorated with an abstract pattern with faint brown horizontal lines over a light cream background. Thick grooves run in different directions in between areas of muted reds and blues. A solid brown edge decorates the rim. A beautiful vase and rare to find one as large as this. In very good vintage condition with some mottling to the blue paint in places.
