1960s ruby red cased glass vase designed by Bo Borgstrom for Swedish manufacturer Åseda Glasbruk. Product No. B5/832. In very good vintage condition with a very faint 1 cm small scratch towards the top which is barely noticeable.
Åseda Glasbruk was a Swedish glass factory which operated in Åseda between 1947 and 1977 when it went into liquidation.
Åseda Glasbruk's chief designer was Bo Borgstrom, who graduated from Stockholm's Swedish School of Arts and Crafts in 1951. Borgstrom was widely acclaimed as a ceramics artist before joining Åseda in 1961.
