1960s space-age desk lamp manufactured by Spanish (Madrid) lighting company Fase. A wonderful timeless design with a black enamelled articulated circular hood and corresponding matching base with a polished chrome supporting arm. The black enamelled hood contains on the underside a frosted glass light diffuser shade which is articulated allowing the light to be directed wherever you require it on the paperwork below.
The manufacturer's makers mark is usually embossed on a metal plate on the underside of the base but as you can see it's been replaced with a white metal disc. The light diffuser is also flat and not curved which is unusual and looks like it's been replaced probably because the original was broken in the past. The usual model for this desk lamp is 520 but I am unable to state this because of these differences. Priced accordingly.
Inside the lamp two E14 Edison screw-in lightbulbs are required which both point in the same direction. These are accessed by unscrewing the metal screw in the centre of the shade. Rewired and in full working order. An on/off switch has been fitted to the black flex.
In good vintage condition with minor signs of wear on the chrome and a small scratch on the edge of the hood.
