1960s large Italian Willy Rizzo circular pedestal dining table. The table is of a wood and steel construction. The pedestal base and table top has a black gloss laminate surface and stands on a heavy brushed steel circular foot. The wooden top is 5cms thick with a laminated black gloss finish surface and a steel band around the edge.
The table will comfortably seat 4 to 6 people. The table is in very good condition with some minor signs of wear commensurate with its age and half a century of use. The laminated gloss surfaces are smooth, unmarked, bright, highly reflective and true to the original design. The steel base and top edge have only very minor surface usage wear. There is a very minor dent to the laminate which I have tried to photograph. The dent is very shallow and is less than 1cm long and hardly noticeable. Due to the materials used to construct the table it is very heavy, weighing approximately 50 to 60kg.The table will be sent by specialist carrier with the top removed for transit. The pedestal base simply screws to the underside of the table top. A beautifully designed table.
