A functional and stylishly designed 1970s vintage chrome space-age two mushroom-shaped eyeball shade floor lamp Manufactured by Herda in the Netherlands. The two chromed-metal mushroom shaped eyeball spots are fully adjustable in any direction and also slide up, down and around the upper part of the vertical rod by releasing the black plastic screw on the end of each fitting. This flexibility allows the light to be shone in any direction required to perhaps light a dark corner, objet on a shelf or sideboard and a book when reading. Each chrome shade is attached to a white lacquered metal cup which also holds the bulb inside the shade. The polished chrome shades with white interiors reflects the light from within beautifully and through the lightbulb heat release holes at the back. The newly lacquered heavily weighted base is an off-white colour . The floor switch is fitted along the black flex. Rewired by a professional electrician and in full-working order. The lamp requires two screw-in E27 lightbulbs - one in each shade preferably LED to reduce height and for longevity.
There is some discolouration caused by the heat of the lightbulbs at the back of the shade which the lightbulbs fortunately hide. The polished chrome has some small hairline scratches in places. The white cups do have some small light scratches in places as illustrated in the images which could be rectified if you prefer.
