1970s Space age German Peill & Putzler opaline glass and polished chrome wall or flush mount ceiling light. The opaline shade has three indents in the inner rim which slot on to the white metal ceiling plate. It is then rotated to hold it in place. A highly polished chrome metal convex disc is fitted to the centre of the light. I am guessing this light was made for a bathroom wall because the chrome disc would be useful to look at your face in close up to apply make up etc.
The two Edison E27 lightbulbs point in opposite directions to help to evenly cast the light evenly through the shade. The shade glows throughout the heavy quality glass casting a warm light.
The original makers label is present on the metal plate. There is a small chip out of the rim which isn't visible. Apart from this the light feels almost new. The wiring has been checked by an electrician and is in full working order.
