1970s Glashütte Limburg Opaline Glass Table Lamp

A stunning, vintage, German, opaline, illuminated white-glass, table lamp manufactured by Glashutte Limburg in the 1970s.  Designed by Heinz Josef Ohm.  The bulbous base holds a single E27 bulb, which is easily accessed by unscrewing the top bulb holder section to release it.  A single E27 screw-in bulb is also required in the top to illuminate the shade.  Both bulbs illuminate at the same time the lamp is switched on. The base and the main bulb-holder are made from lacquered white metal.  I have added the cotton white shade which is also included.  The on/off switch is located on the flex.  A wonderful minimal design making it a perfect addition for most rooms of the home.

PAT tested and in full working order.

Condition: In very good vintage condition with some minor surface scratches to the opaline surface.  There is some slight discolouration from the metal base onto the glass where the two meet.

Dimensions: Height to the top of the bulb holder: 42cm Height to the top of the shade: 63cm Diameter of the base: 21cm Diameter of the widest point at the centre: 35cm
