An original and absolutely stunning vintage 1970s Italian "Quadrifoglio" table lamp designed by Gae Aulenti and manufactured by Harvey Guzzini from 1968-1978. This striking table lamp features a molded biomorphic acrylic salmon coloured shade which is more of a taupe when it's not lit. The lamp has a polished chrome circular base which supports the column of four chromed-metal tubes which form the support for the shade. One of the four tubes features a coiled spring which when pushed back allows the shade to fit into the grooves at the end of each tube which hold the shade firmly in place. The shade is therefore removable for transport or storage purposes.
The lamp requires 3 E14 bayonet pygmy bulbs which sit within the canopy shade. The evenly placed lightbulbs throw a wonderful warm diffused light across the whole of the shade. The white on/off switch sits along the white flex.
In very good vintage condition with only one previous owner who bought it in the 1970s. I also have a matching floor lamp in the same colour and in the same excellent condition.
No chips, scratches or cracks. In very good condition.
