1950s German Original Ink Drawing by Henry J. Latham

An original 1950s ink line-drawing signed by artist Henry J Latham whom I've been unable to find any information on.  I am therefore having to make some assumptions based on the research I've done thus far.  It's in a similar style to L. S. Lowry and beautifully drawn of rather depressing bleak scene of a group of men walking with their heads down wearing flat caps, trench coats, trousers and hard-wearing shows which all indicates it's in the wintertime. The one man at the back is looking towards the artist, face on, almost looks as though he's staring. The scene looks like a mining town or a place with an industrial background in the snow with the men keeping warm by wearing a cap and a trench coat.  The chimneyed terraced houses all in row turn up onto the hillside.

I have had the drawing reframed in an original Edwardian black and gold frame with its original glass.  The new mount is a discoloured white colour to match the paper the drawing is on.

The frame shows some signs of age related wear which adds to it's provenance.
