Pair of 1950s Italian Barovier Style Murano Glass Wall Sconces

An unusual pair of 1950s Italian Murano glass wall sconce uplighters attributed to  Barovier & Taso.  The battuto hammered bronze shell shaped uplighter is attached to the wall with a copper circular supporting wall bracket.  A Murano glass tulip shaped shade faces downwards.

As you can see from the images the bronze uplighter shell is not an exact match to the other.  Even though I've listed them as a pair they're not identical but are the same design.  The dimensions are below.  The difference won't be as apparent if they're mounted away from each other as opposed to together.

4 x E27/E26 Edison screw in lightbulb are required.  Two for each of the shades and two for each of the uprights.  An on/off switch is fitted to the brass circular wall fitting which you will probably just leave permanently on if they're hard wired into the wall.  Rewired and in full working order.

In good vintage condition.  The inside of each of the uplighters is painted white but over the years some of the paint has worn away.  It can be either repainted or left as it is but the interior won't be visible when they're fixed to the wall.

Dimensions: Left Hand Sconce Height: 31cm W: 19 D: 26cm Right Hand Sconce: Height: 26cm W: 23cm Depth 30cm
