Pair of 1950s Italian Stilnovo "Diabolo" wall sconces or wall lights. The conical wall lights are an off-white, very light cream colour, with a black supporting collar around their centre which also features the Stilnovo circular stamp/makers label set within it. The shades are supported by thin tubular brass supports that allow the shades to be maneuvered easily. The shades can be moved backwards and forwards, and from right to left, to direct the light according to your requirements.
The lights have been completely reconditioned, restored and relacquered. The lamps have been fitted with new lamp holders and rewired by a professional electrician. Each lamp requires two E14 screw-in bulbs - one in the top and bottom shades. The burnished brass has a lovely aged patina. In very good vintage condition with some small age related to the shades in places.
Perfect for most situations in the home requiring directional light.
