A rare to find pair of 1970s "space-age" Robin Day designed 'Obo' Chairs. The 'Obo' chair was manufactured by Hille incorporating a lightweight polypropylene textured constructed formed base structure. The chairs are still covered in their original two-tone purple upholstery to the seat. There are some signs of light age-related wear which is barely noticeable. The seats can be removed easily from the base and reupholstered in a fabric of your choice if you wish to suit your home decor. The structure of the chair is in very good condition with no scratches or cracks apart from on the base where there are scratches where they've been placed on a hard rough surface in the past.
Perfect chairs for that 1970s futuristic space-age look perhaps as side chairs for a living room or bedroom.
