A small 1970s Italian Murano blue and purple glass vase. A beautiful decorative piece perfect for a glass display case or shelf where the light can shine through it to emphasise the beautiful and almost luminous two-tone coloured glass. The vase is made in the Sommerso (submerged) style with dark purple submerged inside a lighter blue glass. Sommerso is a technique of glassmaking that involves layering different colors of glass and then fusing them together. This technique is used to create a variety of effects.
This vase is a valuable and collectible piece of Italian glass design.
