Vintage Dark Brown Leather 3-Seater Robin Day for Habitat Sofa

A classic and iconic 'Forum' three-seater sofa designed by Robin Day for Hille. It was originally designed in 1964 and later licensed and manufactured by Habitat in the early 2000s.  The sofa is no longer available.

The soft and supple dark brown leather has a lovely aged patina which makes it extremely comfortable.  The sofa is surrounded on three sides by two solid Ash planks supported on feature square chromed-steel legs with black plastic feet which hold them in place . The sofa is well built, comfortable and quite compact.  It also looks great from all sides especially when it's not pushed up against a wall so you can see it fully that's if you have the space.  In total there are eight dark brown upholstered leather with fabric-back sections. There is also a cleverly designed large fabric-covered support cushion that can't be seen when the cushions are all in place.

The sofa is in good vintage condition with wonderful horizontal grain patterns. The polished chrome is in good condition as is the  seat webbing underneath the cushions. There are some age-related marks in places.
