Pair of "Crystal Strata Column Table Lamps" by Porta Romana designed by Andrew & Sarah Hills.
The lamps are constructed from one block of cast glass with a frosted texture that catches the light providing a diffused warm glow through the whole base. The glass is frosted on three sides with the back section polished smooth and clear. Even though the lamp base is constructed from one piece of cast glass it's designed to give the illusion of numerous small rectangular blocks stacked unevenly on top of one another. The glass column is rectangular in shape and sits on a square nickel base. The column below the bulb holder is constructed from hammered nickel.
The lamps have been rewired with a transparent flex with an on/off switch situated along it. The nickel bases show some areas of wear and tarnishing in places commensurate with its age.
Lamp 1 has a chip on the very top and on the corner of the 2nd top block below which will be hidden by the shade and three smaller chips on the RHS corner which are barely noticeable and shown in the images.
Lamp 2 has a small chip at the top at the back which will be hidden by the shade. Half way down on the right hand side corner there is a chip with a repair which is shown in the images.
The damage stated is reflected in the price. These lamps usually retail at £3k each.
